The Mission of the Educator

There is an important input that educators bring to the table, it is one of a mission to develop and groom a new generation of citizens who will do better than the previous generations. Life is all about change, growth and development. Our work is to accomplish this for our society. This is the call Maria Montessori made over a hundred years ago, and it is still relevant today as it was in 1917 when she made this call at a lecture in Amsterdam.

As an educator, parent, adult do we see our mission?

This is an important job and we need to intentionally set out a plan on how to accomplish it.

2022 is just round the corner. So many things have gone wrong in 2021, it is time to really seek out answers and implement changes to help us really sow the seeds so our children can reap in their tomorrow.

One of the important changes we will have to make is in understanding what discipline is and what it is not.
